Our state-of-the-art facilities feature numerous computer labs with the latest and greatest software available. In class, students have access to a wide range of advanced output technologies including a 3D printer, color printers & flat bed scanners. A Production & Output Center supports wide-format color printers, color laser printers and peripherals for students to matte graphic design and photography. All of this robust technology is supported by a full-time IT/Mac Technician to oversee day-to-day operations and long-term maintenance, in addition to the management of a local area network that is a huge part of our students' success.
The cavernous green screen studio and handsomely outfitted digital video equipment cage gives students the edge to produce award winning motion picture projects. A professional photography studio supports the production of everything from small product to food to portraiture. Video & Photo students check equipment out free of charge to complete assignments that includes a wide range of DSLR, medium, and large format cameras. And YES, black-and-white film processing is alive and well, which is supported by a beautiful traditional darkroom for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level black-and-white, gelatin silver print production. We are one of Washtenaw County's best kept secrets in great education!
Transfer to Four Year Colleges and Universities
Articulation programs enable students to transfer to colleges and universities such as the College for Creative Studies, Savannah College of Art and Design, and Eastern Michigan University.
